Colin P. Hackett is a Partner in the New Jersey office. Colin has extensive experience in state, federal, and appellate courts with an emphasis on general liability and toxic torts.
His general liability practice concerns the defense of entities from personal injury and property damage claims arising from the ownership, maintenance, or control of industrial property, commercial property, hotels, residential apartment complexes, as well as single family homes. His primary practice in this area also includes the representation of owners of large fleets of automobiles for rent and lease throughout New Jersey and nationwide trucking companies.
Colin’s toxic tort practice concerns the defense of suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers from asbestos and toxic chemical exposure claims. Moreover, his practice in all of these areas involves him in all matters of insurance coverage disputes as they relate to the often unique claims that arise in these areas, which typically involve a multitude of parties, insurers, and insurance policies. He has been published in a variety of industry and legal publications in relation to insurance issues.
