Theresa M. Russo is a partner in the Albany Office. She has extensive government relations experience in both New York State and New York City.
Theresa has been the firm's Lobby Law Compliance Officer for over a decade. As such, she interfaces with the New York State Commission on Public Integrity (formerly the Temporary Commission on Lobbying) on a daily basis providing clients filing guidance as well as representing them before the Commission in both civil penalty hearings and audits. In addition, she teaches CLE courses on the constantly evolving Lobbying Laws in New York State and New York City.
In addition, she regularly counsels hotels, restaurants, caterers and bars on a broad array of Liquor Law issues ranging from licensing to disciplinary matters. Wilson Elser has been designated as preferred counsel to the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Industry for liquor matters.
Ms. Russo's background includes working in the New York City Legislative Office under former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and working with Governor David A. Paterson during his tenure as Deputy Minority Leader of the New York State Senate.
