Hurricane Resource Center

The “one-two punch” delivered by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma is already generating a massive number of insurance claims along the Texas and Louisiana coasts and the entire Florida Peninsula. Islands throughout the Caribbean have been all but leveled. Claims reporting and handling will no doubt accelerate at unprecedented levels over the coming months.

While the waters have yet to fully recede, Wilson Elser is at work helping its many clients impacted by storm-related wind, flood and fire damage. Our coverage and defense attorneys have stepped up in the wake of other natural disasters, most notably Superstorm Sandy, and are equipped to handle the enormity of Harvey and Irma’s far-reaching impact. Given our offices in Houston, Beaumont (TX), Orlando, Miami and West Palm Beach, we have a first-hand perspective of particular value to our clients.

This webpage, created for the benefit of our clients and interested others, will serve as a Resource Center for reliable legal information and insights regarding these historic storms. It will be updated continually by members of Wilson Elser’s various national practice teams who understand the kinds of losses and damages that arise from catastrophic events and the substance and subtleties of ensuing insurance claims.

We invite you to visit frequently and to communicate with us if we can answer any questions or otherwise assist you in the trying times ahead.
