MedMal Defense Team Joins Wilson Elser in White Plains
Trial lawyer Michael Grady and Patricia Lacy and Siobhainin Funchion Move to National Platform
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (February 22, 2017) – National law firm Wilson Elser expanded its New York−based Medical Malpractice group with the addition of a three-person team led by trial lawyer Michael Grady, partner, and includes of counsel Patricia Lacy and associate Siobhainin Funchion.
Leader of this team for more than 10 years, Grady is known for his prowess in trying complex cases to verdict. His team focuses its practice on catastrophic matters related to medical malpractice, construction accidents, product liability, school and municipal liability, civil rights matters, police brutality claims, premises liability and automobile liability.
The team’s client roster includes nationally renowned physicians and premier teaching hospitals, managed care organizations and privately run emergency rooms, dentists, nurses, paramedics, podiatrists, radiologists, pathologists, counselors, social workers and other members of the allied health professions. Grady also serves on several panels for national insurers.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Grady was the managing partner at a New York personal injury defense firm, overseeing all aspects of case management for the medical malpractice and general liability divisions. He also served as an assistant district attorney with the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, handling cases in the Organized Crime and Homicide bureaus.
Grady is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and DRI: The Voice of the Defense Bar.
A Boston native, Grady earned his J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School (1987) and his B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (1984).
Lacy earned her J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School (1989) and her B.A. degree from Baruch College (1986). While working as a paralegal, Funchion earned her J.D. degree from Pace Law School (2012) and graduated magna cum laude with her B.A. degree from the State University of New York, Purchase (2007).
