Securities Attorney Robert Cornish Joins Wilson Elser’s Washington, DC, Office

Robert Cornish - Of Counsel - Wilson ElserWASHINGTON, DC (May 12, 2017) – National law firm Wilson Elser announced that 23-year industry veteran and securities attorney Robert Cornish Jr. has joined the firm’s Washington, DC, office as of counsel.

Cornish focuses his practice on litigation, arbitration, regulatory and compliance matters for broker-dealers, investment advisers, hedge funds, commodity firms, institutional investors and family offices in the United States and abroad. Over more than two decades of practice, he has developed an emphasis on alternative investment, broker-dealer and EB-5 fund formation, compliance and governance matters, including litigation, arbitration and enforcement.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Cornish served as chief legal and compliance officer and in-house counsel for prominent investment firms, where he regularly handled complex business management and marketing matters for investment management clients.

Cornish is admitted to practice in Washington, DC, New York, Arkansas, Tennessee and Wyoming.

Cornish earned his B.A. degree from Davidson College (1989) and his J.D. degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law (1993), where he was the articles editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy.
