Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Our firmwide efforts are coordinated by Wilson Elser’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which comprises minority and non-minority partners and associates, members of firm leadership and administrative professionals. Reporting directly to the firm’s Executive Committee and Chairman, it convenes regularly to set goals, provide updates, track progress, discern trends and encourage professional development of all minority attorneys.

The committee is broadly tasked with promoting diversity at Wilson Elser and is specifically committed to advancing the following objectives:

  • Establishing and exceeding ambitious benchmarks relative to both internal and supplier diversity 
  • Putting in place a strong communications strategy designed to reach key internal and external constituencies. 
  • Ensuring that diversity activities align with long-term, firmwide strategic objectives 
  • Implementing key human resources initiatives – recruitment, employee benefits, retention, performance management, succession planning and career development based on a well-codified diversity plan 
  • Developing related and substantive training programs
