Allison Carlos represents businesses and professionals in a broad range of complex civil litigation matters. Her practice includes commercial disputes, trucking and transportation litigation, real estate matters, professional liability claims, and other high-exposure disputes. Drawing on her experience as both an attorney and business owner, she approaches each matter with a practical understanding of the legal, operational, and financial challenges her clients face.
During law school, Allison was an active member of the National Trial Team, competing in the National Trial League and the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Student Trial Advocacy Competition. She was named Best Advocate in the National Trial League, and her team was regional champion in the AAJ competition. She also completed externships with the Honorable Thérèse Wiley Dancks of the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, the Honorable Deborah H. Karalunas of the New York State Supreme Court, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York.
Before becoming an attorney, Allison built an extensive background in business operations and real estate. She owns and operates a 24-hour towing and roadside-assistance company that serves individual customers, insurers, government agencies, military installations, and national roadside-assistance providers. She also worked as a licensed real estate agent in New York and served as vice president of a real estate investment and property management company. These experiences provide her with firsthand insight into the issues businesses encounter every day, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, risk management, workforce management, property operations, and customer disputes.
Allison initially joined Wilson Elser as a summer law clerk, continuing to work with the firm during her final year of law school before transitioning into her role as an associate.
