Angela Garcia’s practice primarily focuses on intellectual property litigation, including trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes, as well as select general liability matters. She represents clients through all phases of litigation in state and federal court, from initial pleadings and discovery through dispositive motion practice and court appearances. Angela has appeared in more than 250 hearings, including case management conferences, trial setting conferences, and related proceedings.
Angela has extensive experience drafting pleadings and complex motions, including motions for summary judgement, motions for judgment on the pleadings, motions for protective orders, and motions to compel. She also manages all aspects of written discovery, prepares case management statements, expert designations, and subpoenas, conducts witness interviews, and performs case evaluations to help drive favorable outcomes for her clients. She prioritizes clear communication and a proactive approach to client service.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Angela worked at a San Francisco law firm, where she handled defense litigation across various practice areas. Prior to entering private practice, she worked in corporate retail with Gap Inc., Walmart eCommerce, and Levi Strauss & Co. This experience provides Angela a unique understanding of her clients’ business objectives and challenges, enabling her to bridge legal strategy and business considerations.

Angela litigates copyright matters involving single-photo and video infringement cases, non-willful infringement, and statutory damages.
