Alicia Gipe, an experienced legal adviser and litigator, has worked in the legal field for nearly 15 years. She helps international and local businesses successfully resolve disputes involving general liability, construction and real estate, contracts, employment and labor, catastrophic accidents and professional liability, including architects and engineers, lawyers, health care professionals and real estate professionals.

Medical Malpractice & Health Care
An experienced medical malpractice and health care lawyer, Alicia has handled a broad range of matters from wrongful death claims to U.S. Food and Drug Administration investigations to medical licensing board complaints. Alicia also litigated cases involving one of the largest disease outbreaks in the history of public health in the United States.

Business Adviser
As a business adviser to small, medium and large companies, Alicia counsels executives, managers and human resources professionals on issues involving business operations, risk management and mitigation, general liability, regulatory compliance and employment law (concerning matters of lawful hiring, training, disciplinary and termination; ADA accommodations; sexual harassment; race, age, gender and disability discrimination; retaliation; employment agreements; whistleblower/qui tam claims, and FMLA and FLSA claims). Relying on her business operations experience and her years serving as a managing director for a private business and on a private executive board, Alicia takes a risk-adverse and fiscally prudent approach to finding legal resolutions for her clients.

Alicia also has a background in governmental regulation and commercial transactions acquired working for a large financial services firm as a Government Regulation and Compliance professional. She helps private businesses faced with disputes and/or investigations by federal and state agencies concerning regulatory compliance matters. Alicia also is experienced with setting up and implementing proactive measures for quality assurance and compliance.

Pro Bono Advocacy & Public Service
A firm believer in access to justice for all, Alicia offers pro bono assistance to immigrants in matters before the U.S. Immigration Court. Beyond her advocacy work in the courtroom, Alicia is involved with public service programs for the Bar Association of Baltimore City, which assists the underserved and poor with legal matters. She also is an avid volunteer and fundraiser for school and philanthropy programs for children.
