Alicia Silver Santocki Partner




Alicia Silver Santocki serves as coordinating claims and litigation management counsel and coverage and monitoring counsel on the Program Management team for carriers based in the United States, Bermuda and London. She has extensive experience handling claims, monitoring litigation, and implementing and executing quality assurance processes on behalf of insurers.
In close collaboration with clients and other firm professionals, Alicia conducts oversight of claims and defense counsel on employment law and directors & officers matters, as well as various MPL, LPL, A&E, financial institutions, miscellaneous medical and senior living & aging services, cyber and property coverage programs. Keeping pace with the cybersecurity and data privacy issues attendant with most matters, Alicia handles coverage involving data breach, violations of privacy rights, technology errors and omissions, web-based media issues and consumer protection violations. In addition, Alicia has direct litigation experience defending employers in employment claims before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other venues.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Alicia worked with the New York City Law Department Office of the Corporation Counsel litigating matters on behalf of the City of New York.

Areas of Focus

Claims & Litigation Management Counsel
Alicia serves as national coordinating counsel, providing claims and litigation management services. In this critical role as the single point of contact for claims professionals, she helps to determine the specific scope of services they require and the attorneys who can best serve each carrier’s needs. In this role, Alicia also oversees all aspects of claims management, including responsibility for the Wilson Elser team and implementation of the firm’s processes and protocols that drive the efficient and cost-effective delivery of these services.

Alicia also makes herself available to clients at all times for risk management inquiries that come in over the firm-designated hotlines, always on an expedited basis. She works with claims professionals, clients or directors to rectify problems and work toward an efficient outcome.

Program Management & Professional Liability Programs
Alicia provides her clients with a considerable advantage in the complex professional liability marketplace. Drawing on her experience with the Prudential Securities institutional sales government bonds trading desk, Alicia frequently serves as claims and/or coverage counsel in the Professional Lines arena for insurance programs originating in the U.S., Bermuda and London markets, with insureds ranging from large public companies to mid-size franchisees and nonprofits. Alicia has supervised and handled claims for insurers, providing early assessment and prompt and professional communications with clients, brokers, insureds and defense counsel. Alicia has extensive lawyers’ professional liability (LPL) experience, as well as with Professional Lines insurers and involvement in monitoring securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions and commercial litigation involving financial services organizations. Her accomplished negotiating skills provide leverage and enhance cost-effective resolution of claims.

 Alicia is a regular speaker at Target Markets and CHART, covering topics of importance, risk management and loss prevention. She also is asked to participate in panels and webinars and appeared most recently as a webinar panelist on The Gig Economy: The Risks and Legal Challenges for the Future of Work.
