Allison Maynard has more than 15 years of experience as a litigator, defending cases in state and federal courts throughout Oklahoma and Texas. She handles a diverse caseload with a focus on complex torts and general casualty, products liability, commercial litigation, accountants’ professional liability, transportation and premises liability. Allison has successfully settled or tried to conclusion a multitude of cases in Oklahoma and Texas state and federal courts. 

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Allison worked at the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office as an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Division. During that time she handled a wide variety of claims against state agencies and employees at all levels in the Oklahoma courts including personal injury and wrongful death, breach of contract, civil rights and employment claims. Since moving from Oklahoma to Texas in 2007, Allison has maintained a robust caseload in Oklahoma state and federal courts. 

Areas of Focus

Complex Tort & General Casualty
Allison has defended a broad spectrum of general liability matters, including premises liability, premises security liability, vehicle-related matters and other forms of personal injury cases. Her experience also includes the defense of professional liability claims, product liability claims and coverage issues. 

Commercial Litigation
Allison has prosecuted and defended claims for large and small businesses and she is adept at selecting a preferred approach, from litigation, arbitration and mediation through the appeals process. Her experience encompasses contract litigation, commercial fraud, banking, collections and construction litigation. Allison has litigated multiple cases in arbitration with JAMS and with AAA.

Product Liability
Allison focuses on the defense of products liability claims asserted against a wide variety of products, including claims for design, manufacturing and marketing defects. Her products liability defense experience includes defending manufacturers as well as suppliers and distributors of industrial equipment and machinery and appliances in cases involving allegations of wrongful death or serious injury. 

Transportation
Allison has represented trucking companies in state and federal courts throughout Oklahoma and Texas in litigation arising from property loss, severe personal injuries and fatalities. She is a member of the firm’s Crisis National Response Team, participating in the initial response to and investigation of trucking accidents.
