Andrea M. Strain Of Counsel




Andrea Strain is a skilled attorney with experience in a diverse range of practice areas, including civil claims in the areas of transportation, personal injury, employment and labor, workers’ compensation and premises liability. Andrea also has experience in the areas of contracts, family, fair housing and discrimination, criminal and immigration, with a concentration in immigration law. She has handled cases involving removal hearings, Special Immigration Juvenile status, family-based petitions, the Violence Against Women Act and U-visas. In addition, Andrea has worked with a variety of clients, from indigent individuals to immigrants to white-collar clients. While in law school, Andrea served an externship with Rhode Island Legal Aid and a summer internship with New Haven Legal Aid.

Andrea has experience with sales contracts, employment contracts with vendors, federal tax law, insolvency law, trusts and estates, business law, penal matters in New York and Connecticut, personal injury cases representing plaintiffs and defendants, and landlord-tenant disputes. In addition, she works with other members of the firm’s Transportation practice representing and defending U.S. and Canadian trucking companies, owner-operators, and common carriers in New York and Connecticut. Andrea has defended Canadian carriers in subrogation matters dealing with PIP actions before the Arbitration Forum.

Andrea has defended individuals and entities before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, HUD, Probate Court, Workers’ Compensation Commission, USCIS, Immigration Court, and state and federal courts including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
