Bret Franco has extensive experience representing commercial and nonprofit organizations, including technology companies, transportation and logistics companies, religious institutions, schools, employers and property owners. Bret focuses his practice in the area of complex civil litigation, including defense of transportation claims, catastrophic personal injury claims, product liability claims, mass tort claims, pharmacy malpractice maters, employment disputes and insurance coverage matters. Bret directs his representation of all clients to achieving the most efficient and cost-effective solution. Having worked extensively on several national litigation programs, Bret understands the importance of designing and executing a litigation strategy that is not only consistent with achieving the best outcome in each case but also aligned with his clients’ overall business and litigation goals. 

Prior to private practice, Bret served as an assistant state’s attorney with the Cook County State Attorney’s Office, one of the largest prosecutor’s offices in the United States.  As a prosecutor, Bret gained extensive trial experience in both criminal and civil matters.

Obtained dismissal with prejudice for tenant in Chicago case arising from a second-floor porch collapse that caused significant injuries to multiple party attendees.

Obtained dismissal on behalf of an insurance carrier in a breach of contract action in federal court involving a trucking accident.
