Catherine T. Barnard Associate




Catherine Barnard focuses her practice on complex litigation in the areas of professional liability, insurance coverage, transportation and general liability claims. Catherine represents individuals, corporations, institutions and insurance companies in a wide range of civil litigation matters.

Catherine’s professional liability experience includes attorney malpractice, construction and design professional E&O claims, insurance agent liability, and defending physicians and health care providers in medical board and administrative matters. Catherine’s practice also includes advising insurance companies in coverage-related matters, including coverage determinations and claims handling.

Catherine currently teaches business law as a Faculty Associate at Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. She has taught courses in privacy law, nonprofit law and business relationships. Catherine brings this academic focus to finding creative solutions to her client’s litigation needs.

During law school, Catherine worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Samuel A. Thumma at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One and for the Honorable Bridget S. Bade at the United States District Court, District of Arizona.
