Christy Kostich focuses her practice on the defense of general liability, catastrophic personal injury, and automobile and common carrier liability. She also has extensive experience in premises liability, products liability, toxic torts, consumer warranty, construction defects and employment law. Christy has litigated numerous personal injury cases in California state courts from pre-litigation to trial and has taken hundreds of depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses and experts. She has appeared in various state courts in California more than 1,000 times.
Christy successfully first-chaired a bench trial where the judge ruled in favor of her client, drafted a Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings, and won on behalf of her client in a race discrimination and breach of collective bargaining agreement case. Her keen attention to detail in uncovering inflated or distorted claim damages or injuries in the discovery process has saved her corporate and insurance clients hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. Christy also negotiates settlements and prepares releases. She researches and retains expert witnesses and coordinates all stages of trial preparation.
