Corey Wright practices in the areas of product liability, general negligence, transportation and regulatory matters. A licensed pilot, Corey is active in the firm’s Aviation & Aerospace practice and has experience assisting clients with National Transportation Safety Board investigations and hearings, Federal Aviation Administration enforcement and regulatory actions, and aircraft ownership and certification issues. Corey has defended airlines; aircraft maintenance facilities and fixed-base operators; manufacturers of aircraft parts; aircraft owners; aircraft dealers; flight schools and flight instructors; and a variety of Part 135 operators, including jet charter companies and Helicopter Air Ambulance providers.

Corey also routinely provides support to the firm’s crisis-management response team outside the aviation context, particularly for clients dealing with catastrophes that involve an NTSB investigation. He often is called on to immediately dispatch to an accident scene to provide on-site support, investigation services and guidance to clients navigating an emerging crisis situation. Corey’s practice is national in scope and he has handled claims and actions in state and federal courts across the United States.

Corey holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings and is a graduate of the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences at the University of North Dakota. Corey’s aviation-focused education and his background as a pilot enable him to speak knowledgeably with clients and expert witnesses about the technical issues critical to the successful outcome of any complex aviation matter.
