Curtis F. Carr Jr. practices in the areas of Municipal/Local Government and general civil litigation, with experience in appellate matters. Curtis handles the pre-litigation, litigation, settlement, trial and appeal of a wide range of cases brought against municipalities, government entities and public officials. 

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Curtis worked at a civil litigation firm in the DC Metropolitan area, where he handled a number of matters involving labor and employment violations, as well as Title VII harassment and discrimination cases. Curtis has conducted and defended depositions, argued dispositive motions and participated in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. 

Previously, Curtis spent more than three years as an assistant district attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, where he was a felony prosecutor in one of the office’s four trial bureaus. Curtis handled investigations and cases including, but not limited to, assaults, attempted murders, robberies, weapons and narcotics. While at the DA’s office, Curtis tried numerous criminal cases to verdict in the New York City courts. Prior to his time as a prosecutor, Curtis served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge J.M. Alexander in the Circuit Court of Baltimore County.
