Deanna Williams focuses her litigation practice on professional liability, including representation of insurance agents, attorneys, accountants and other professionals. Deanna has extensive experience representing professionals in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the ARDC and the IDFPR. Deanna’s practice also includes directors & officers liability, insurance coverage and bad faith matters.
Additionally, Deanna handles employment and labor litigation and counseling. She represents private- and public-sector employers in employment litigation involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage, whistleblower and breach of contract claims in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Commission. Deanna regularly counsels employers on labor and employment–related issues, including hiring practices, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, discipline and termination issues, and compliance with various federal and state laws.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Deanna represented a variety of clients in complex employment and insurance defense litigation. Through her diverse practice, she has gained significant experience in all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, deposition, trial and appellate work.
