Doug Rowan currently focuses his practice on defending property owners and managers in premises liability and negligent security claims, contractors in construction defect matters, and insurers and insureds in personal and commercial automobile litigation.

During more than 25 years of practice in Nevada, Doug has engaged in a diverse civil litigation practice encompassing business disputes; construction defect matters; and general, premises and professional liability claims. He also has represented insurance carriers in coverage matters and bad faith claims arising from automobile, homeowners and commercial lines policies, as well as subrogation actions against responsible parties. 

Doug has litigated cases before Nevada state and federal courts and represented clients through all stages of litigation, including discovery, trial and appeal.  As a civil litigator and a court-appointed arbitrator, Doug has been involved in hundreds of binding and nonbinding arbitrations. He also frequently uses mediation as a cost-effective means for resolving claims and disputes.

Representative Matters

Prevailed in U.S. District Court on a global motion for summary judgment filed on behalf of a national big-box retailer, based on the lack of constructive notice in this premises liability case.
