Elis M. Rojas Associate




Elis Rojas represents leading insurance carriers on various matters involving premises liability, general liability, products liability, employment liability and professional liability. She has significant experience in all aspects of these matters, including pre-suit handling, litigation, trials and appeals. Elis also has considerable experience defending claims under the Defense Base Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, War Hazards Compensation Act, and general maritime matters. Clients enjoy working with Elis due to her responsiveness, tenacity and ability to consistently achieve exemplary results.

Elis also has served as outside counsel for the Miccosukee Indian Tribe and assisted with a myriad of tribal matters. While completing her legal education, she clerked for the Honorable Harvey E. Schlesinger and the Honorable Thomas E. Morris in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Elis is a Cuban native who arrived in the United States when she was seven years old. She is fluent in Spanish and American Sign Language. Elis is a member of the Florida Bar, Federal Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the Dade County Bar Association.
