Greg Bernhard is an experienced litigator with emphasis on insurance defense in Labor Law, premises liability and general tort liability matters. Greg has handled litigation, mediation and arbitration of complex tort liability matters and commercial disputes. He also has participated in investigations of insurance fraud and economic malfeasance.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Greg was a litigator in Manhattan, handling a variety of commercial disputes on behalf of major insurers and national banks. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, where he served in the Organized Crime Bureau, Career Criminal Bureau and Major Case Bureau. Greg investigated and prosecuted homicides and other violent crimes, presented many cases to the Grand Jury and tried more than 50 jury trials.
In 2014 Greg and his wife, Jennifer, were honored as Congregants of the Year at Sinai Free Synagogue in Mount Vernon, New York, where Greg served on the Board of Trustees and then as Vice President.
