Gregory Dell handles all aspects of litigation for his clients and has achieved numerous successful results in state and federal courts and in the appellate courts of New York State. Greg works closely with clients to execute the preferred resolution strategy, achieving the desired end through the most cost-effective means available. He is adept at using cost-benefit analysis to help clients determine if a claim should be litigated or settled. He also provides risk management services, advising clients on measures they can take to help prevent litigation or to best position themselves to defend claims that arise.

Greg understands the vast challenges of property owners, managers and retailers. Drawing on the resources of a national firm, he offers innovative strategies and resolutions to pending and prospective litigation matters. Greg remains focused on available risk transfer for property owners and managers and has lectured extensively on the subject. With respect to retailers, Greg is proficient in dealing with in-store challenges, including injuries to patrons on the premises, negligent security and product liability claims.

With extensive experience defending personal injury claims, Greg has represented numerous commercial, office and retail properties, including big box retailers and wholesalers, in the defense of premises liability, products liability, labor law and environmental matters. He also represents commercial transport companies in automobile liability claims. Greg joined Wilson Elser directly out of law school and has been with the firm ever since. 

Areas of Focus

Complex Tort & General Casualty
Greg defends property owners, managers and retailers in premises liability matters involving personal injury and property damage claims and in general liability and labor law matters arising from construction-site accidents. In this capacity, Greg works with one of the largest owners and managers of real estate in the country, coordinating the defense of its general liability matters on a national scale. He also handles premises liability matters for other real estate clients of the firm.

Another area of Greg’s practice involves representing commercial transport companies in automobile liability claims arising from vehicular accidents involving their drivers. On behalf of a fuel oil delivery company, Greg defends environmental claims arising from oil spills that occur during the delivery process.

Obtained summary judgment for a multinational corporation in a personal injury lawsuit in which the plaintiff slipped and fell, alleging negligence in stocking merchandise to be the cause.
