Hamala Niranjan Associate




Hamala Niranjan represents established businesses, municipalities, construction managers and owners in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on defense of claims related to general liability, labor law and construction litigation. 

Previously, Hamala worked at a boutique law firm specializing in tax grievances and complex condemnation litigation. Prior to that, Hamala was a summer associate at insurance defense firms providing assistance on motions to dismiss and discovery demands for insurance carriers, and spent some time working in a fast-paced plaintiff’s personal injury firm. 

During law school, Hamala was a student advocate for a Deportation Clinic representing clients facing immediate deportation. She also served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Michelle A. Johnson, Supervising Judge, New York State Unified Court System. In addition, Hamala served as a legal intern at the Legal Aid Society, providing criminal defense services to clients charged with misdemeanors. Hamala contributed 500+ hours as a pro bono scholar to the Center for Family Representation defending families facing child removal and family court proceedings.
