I-Che Lai has experience representing financial institutions, specifically litigating securities class actions. He handles a wide range of civil litigation matters, including professional liability defense, construction defect, commercial litigation, class action, real estate litigation, intellectual property litigation and other general liability matters. Among the clients he serves are architects, developers, securities firms, financial institutions, mortgage loan servicers, real estate professionals, technology companies and other businesses.

I-Che also represents lenders in commercial and residential mortgage matters, including workouts and mortgage closings. He has handled more than100 federal and state cases on behalf of financial institutions, mortgage servicers and mortgage trustees. He has obtained judgments against debtors totaling in excess of $10 million and has successfully defended against claims alleging unlawful debt collection or seeking to eliminate the security interests of the firm’s clients. Notably, I-Che has defeated a class action alleging unlawful debt collection that involved more than 10,000 class members.

Prior to working at Wilson Elser, I-Che practiced intellectual property litigation for an international law firm in California. He also has experience at regional law firms in Las Vegas in commercial litigation, real estate litigation and class actions. Notably, he has taken a certificated class action to a bench trial and obtained a multimillion-dollar judgment.

During law school, I-Che interned for the Honorable Ann Walsh Bradley in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is active in the Las Vegas community, volunteering his time to SYN Shop, LLC, a nonprofit “hackerspace,” and various start-up companies.
