Jim Williams litigates cases on behalf of various types of clients, most of which have been sued in tort litigation. He has handled matters related to trucking accidents, premises liability, product liability, workplace injuries, food poisoning, breach of warranty, subrogation, collections, innkeeper liability and employment law. Adapting his particular skill set to a host of disciplines such as the allied health fields, Jim regularly assists with trials, pretrial conferences, mediations, settlement conferences and hearings on motions.  Jim strives to assess the legal and factual merits of cases early in the process to get the best results for his clients.

Throughout much of Jim’s 15 years as a litigator, he has defended clients involved in mass tort/ toxic tort cases, most of which relate to alleged asbestos exposure. His past and current clients include manufacturers of personal protective equipment, pumps, valves, boilers, trucks, engines, gaskets and aircraft. He also has represented insulation contractors, electrical contractors, boiler contractors and premises owners. In addition to directly handling cases in Illinois, Missouri and Indiana, Jim has served as national coordinating counsel and represented clients in other jurisdictions pursuant to pro hac vice admissions.
