Jason R. Wigg has represented clients in litigated matters for more than 20 years. Since relocating to Las Vegas from San Francisco in 2000, Jason has defended clients in a wide variety of matters, including claims for construction defect (residential and commercial), wrongful death, negligent security, breach of contract, professional negligence, insurance coverage and bad faith, and other complex, high-value cases. Known for his detailed and streamlined approach to case management, Jason analyzes each case with great care to achieve prompt, positive results for his clients. 

Jason also has substantial experience defending clients in a variety of complex matters involving commercial and general liability, professional negligence, premises liability, landowner liability, product defect, developer liability, transportation/trucking liability and mechanics' liens. Jason has obtained multiple motions for summary judgment in state and federal court, and has successfully represented clients at trial and in countless mediations and arbitrations, as well as several clients in appellate matters in the State of Nevada. Notably, Jason was retained to defend a (since retired) Clark County District Court Judge in a complex, multi-party personal injury matter. 

Jason spent his high school and college years as a semi-professional bull rider and was a member of the Eastern Oregon University rodeo team. He worked his way through college a laborer, equipment operator and grade-checker on various road construction projects throughout Oregon.

Representative Matters

Obtained defense verdict on behalf of an employer in a case in which a skycap alleged his employment was terminated in retaliation for filing a workers' compensation claim. Subsequently represented the client in the appeal in which the Nevada Supreme Court affirmed the verdict and the court's award of attorney's fees and costs.

Obtained dismissal of wrongful death action in which the plaintiff alleged clients were liable for the death her young child and the catastrophic injuries to her other child based on a failure to timely serve client pursuant to NRCP 4, Summons and Service. Represented clients in subsequent appeal in which the Nevada Supreme Court affirmed the dismissal.

Obtained dismissal of personal injury case in which the plaintiff alleged an employee of our client, a national retailer, caused her to trip and fall due to the plaintiff's failure to truthfully disclose prior physical injuries. Also secured a judgment in client's favor for all attorney's fees and costs.

Obtained dismissal of all claims asserted against clients in trucking accident case that resulted the death of a motorist.

Obtained dismissal of all claims asserted against client by a plaintiff who alleged a club where she danced was responsible for injuries she allegedly sustained due to being struck by the club's entrance door.

Obtained an order for reimbursement of attorneys' fees and costs in a case in which the court ruled plaintiff's lawsuit was brought and maintained without reasonable grounds pursuant to NRS 18.010.

Prevailed in a construction defect case against the general contractor for the renovation of a high-end retail mall.

Prevailed in a construction defect case against the general contractor for the construction of an element of a popular casino.
