Jennifer Willis Arledge practices in the areas of product liability, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, general liability in the hospitality arena and construction defect, primarily representing architects and engineers. Jennifer also handles toxic tort and bankruptcy matters. Most of her cases are complex and include serious injury or death as well as substantial monetary damages.

An experienced litigator, Jennifer is recognized for her aggressive advocacy. She has handled all aspects of cases from advising the client at the first sign of a claim through trial. Earlier in her career, Jennifer was an assistant public defender in the state of Ohio, representing juveniles and adults in criminal and family law matters. Jennifer returned to her practice at Wilson Elser following her work as a solo practitioner with a successful general practice.

Jennifer’s early work as a plaintiffs’ lawyer gives her an important perspective when dealing with personal injury cases, not to mention the education she affords the junior lawyers in her practice, who benefit from her enthusiastic approach to mentoring.

Jennifer has represented clients that manufacture pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automobiles, motorcycles, recreational products, heavy equipment and a multitude of consumer products.

Architects & Engineers
Jennifer primarily represents design professionals, architects and engineers in complex residential and commercial construction defect litigation brought by homeowners, homeowners’ associations, developers or general contractors. Representative clients include architects, landscape architects, geotechnical engineers, structural engineers and civil engineers. Jennifer also represents subcontractors in various trades. The matters typically involve many, often hundreds, of plaintiffs, and include complex third-party claims such as issues of indemnity and contribution. She uses her creative edge in establishing precedent unique to design professionals in Clark County construction defect cases. Jennifer has represented design professionals in complex residential and commercial construction litigation involving construction defect and delay claims. Representative clients include landscape architects and geotechnical and structural engineers. She also regularly represents architects and engineers in cases involving professional negligence.

Jennifer began her career representing a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee in Columbus, Ohio, where she gained a unique perspective on the administration of bankruptcy estates.

Toxic Tort & Environmental Law
Jennifer has defended clients against claims of toxic mold involving personal injury and property damage. Her clients have included community interest development associations, industrial hygienists and remediation companies. Jennifer has extensive experience in products liability matters, having represented product and equipment manufacturers in asbestos litigation.
