John Cahill handles a range of matters, with a concentration in the developing field of cryptocurrencies, NFTs in particular. John researches current trends, keeping up to date with all developments in the NFT space, in and outside the courtroom, to ensure that clients are in compliance with any current and developing legal restrictions. 

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, John spent two years with Chubb Insurance, where he worked on cyber law, corporate law and insurance law issues. John also worked on a statewide campaign and a presidential campaign, and before that with All American Games, LLC. During that time, he orchestrated, presented and executed numerous events throughout the country, formally inviting the nation’s top players to the U.S. Army All American Bowl.

John deals with a myriad of complex legal issues in the general liability sector. He provides his clients with a high level of responsiveness and personalized attention to assist in risk and crisis management at the pre-litigation phase of potential claims. John also uses his attention to detail to zealously advocate for his clients in matters that proceed to litigation. He has obtained many favorable resolutions, and has authored numerous winning dispositive motions. John’s clients include construction firms, commercial and residential property owners and management companies, restaurants and amateur athletic associations. 

Since entering the cryptocurrency arena, John has advised and consulted on projects from well-established entities in the NFT space to newcomers. He applies his legal acumen and knowledge gained from launching his own NFT project to support others. John drafts agreements, including NDAs, Licensing Agreements and Partnership Agreements, and assists with registering entities to ensure proper protection under the laws of the relevant jurisdictions. He advises clients with respect to IP and licensing to ensure that the rights and obligations of each party are clearly defined, and prepares appropriate licensing agreements to protect valuable intellectual property rights.
