John P. Kelly Partner




John Kelly has substantial experience representing insurers, insureds and corporations in a wide variety of litigation matters, including premises liability, labor law, product liability, trucking/transportation, real estate transactions and insurance coverage. John has also litigated commercial disputes and malpractice claims. He has assisted clients involved in the trucking/transportation, hospitality, insurance and retail industries.

John also has experience as a bank attorney in mortgage closings and commercial loan transactions. Prior to that, John served as an examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank, which gave him insights into and an appreciation for the importance of compliance and investigation. John has knowledge of financial regulations, including the Truth in Savings Act, the Truth in Lending Act and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.

Before joining Wilson Elser, John worked at a prominent litigation firm where he litigated cases from inception to resolution. He has conducted numerous depositions, argued motions for summary judgment and tried cases to verdict.

Represented businessman in recruiting fee dispute with National Football League franchise with regard to an oral agreement over a $400,000 fee.
