Kadeejah J. Kelly Associate




Kadeejah J. Kelly handles claims administration and management of lawyers’ professional liability, miscellaneous professional liability, employment practices liability, and directors and officers insurance claims for international and domestic insurers. As a member of the firm’s Program Management team, she focuses on claims management, insurance coverage and analysis, and risk management. Kadeejah works with insureds to resolve potential and present issues and advises on cost-effective resolution and mitigation of claims. 

In addition to risk management advice and guidance, Kadeejah provides comprehensive litigation and claims management from the claim intake stage to resolution. This process encompasses fact investigation, coverage evaluation and recommendations, reserve recommendations, and development of settlement and resolution strategies. 

During law school, Kadeejah worked as a corporate legal intern at Travelers where she supported the corporate legal department with research and conducted document review for insurance coverage matters in litigation. Additionally, she served as a student representative with the UCONN Asylum and Human Rights Clinic where she successfully represented a client in an asylum hearing before the U.S. Asylum Office. She also served as a mediator with the UCONN Mediation Clinic, which handled employment dispute matters. 

Kadeejah is a recipient of The George W. Crawford Scholarship, The Traschel Scholarship, The Jackson Lewis Scholarship and the UCONN Senior Women's Academic Achievement Award. She also served as the CT Sub-Regional Director for the Northeast Black Law Students Association and was the President of the UCONN Black Law Students Association. 

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Kadeejah was a judicial law clerk for the Judges of the Connecticut Superior Court. There, she handled a variety of matters that included bankruptcy, child custody, personal injury and employment discrimination.
