Lauren M. Gibbons Associate




Lauren Gibbons handles general liability, insurance defense and commercial litigation matters. She joined Wilson Elser from a Virginia-based firm doing insurance defense work where she was first chair on several district and circuit court trials. She managed a varied caseload of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, premises liability, property damage, and breach of contract cases.

Following law school, Lauren clerked for Judge J. Barry Hughes on the Circuit Court for Carroll County and then worked at a small firm in the Baltimore area doing workers’ compensation defense.

During law school, Lauren interned for the Administrative Judge in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, served as a Rule 16 Student Attorney in the Disability Law Clinic at the University of Baltimore, and was a full-time law clerk at a firm that handled criminal defense and civil plaintiff’s work. Lauren was a Snyder Litigation Center Student Fellow and a Law Student Board Member of the Maryland Crime Victims’ Resource Center (MCVRC). She also completed the Maryland Rule 17-106 40-hour Mediation Training.
