Lauren has handled dozens of Labor Law cases, most of which have involved alleged violations of Labor Law §§ 240(1), 241(6) and 200. With regard to claims that primarily relied on an alleged violation of Labor Law § 240(1), she has defended cases involving falls from ladders/scaffolding, falls into improperly guarded trenches/excavations and cases where the plaintiff alleges to have been struck by an improperly secured object that fell from a higher elevation. The Labor Law § 241(6) claims Lauren has defended have been premised on alleged violations of various Industrial Code provisions, ranging from inadequate safety devices, to insufficient illumination, to slipping/tripping hazards on various types of job sites.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Lauren worked at a New York City medical malpractice defense firm serving doctors, hospitals and other health care providers, and before that, at an insurance defense firm focusing on Labor Law and general liability cases.
