Leo A. Vaisburg Associate




Leo Vaisburg concentrates his practice in general liability, employment and labor, cannabis law, and business and financial matters. He represents clients in a variety of industries, including hospitality, insurance brokers and agents, real estate agents, utilities, transportation, and pharmaceutical and home health care. Leo’s foreign language skills, including Russian, French and German, have proved useful in a number of cases.

In the area of employment law, Leo has attended arbitration hearings and litigated cases involving violations of Title VII; race, age, sexual or gender discrimination; retaliation; breach of contract; non-solicitation enforcement; negligence; federal preemption; and wage-and-hour class actions. Leo also has represented clients in administrative matters before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Labor Commissioner, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.

Before joining the firm, Leo worked at an insurance defense firm, with notable success in helping to obtain a defense verdict in a very high-profile case. During law school, Leo’s clerkships focused on insurance defense, business litigation and government work at the Chula Vista City Attorney's Office.
