Marian B. Greer Associate




Marian B. Greer serves domestic and international insurance clients in a variety of areas, including commercial litigation, intellectual property rights, premises liability, professional liability, insurer litigation and employment law. She also is engaged in intellectual property and copyright matters and related commercial litigation.

As a trial attorney, Marian has represented sophisticated clients in venues throughout the southeastern United States. She has litigated in the public and private sector for the past 10 years and has tried numerous cases to successful decisions, serving as lead counsel on hundreds of trials, and has litigated constitutional and evidentiary motions in county and circuit courts.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Marian served as a district attorney with the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office, a Special Assistant Attorney General with the State of Georgia, and counsel for employers and carriers, specializing in the defense of workers’ compensation claims in Florida. During law school, she gained experience with litigation and procedure while interning with the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office and working as a law clerk for Shelby County Criminal Court Judges for Circuits 1 and 2. As a student attorney, Marian represented abused and neglected children in dependency and disciplinary proceedings in the City of Memphis.
