Rockford M. Hearn Associate

Rockford (Rocky) Hearn handles a variety of civil litigation matters concerning general liability and insurance defense, including products liability, personal injury, wrongful death, toxic tort, and defense of insureds and self-insured business entities. In addition, Rocky represents financial service providers in connection with consumer and commercial finance matters, defending claims brought in both federal and state court related to contract disputes, credit reporting, mortgage foreclosure, and commercial litigation. Rocky is a certified mediator and has extensive experience representing clients in all phases of alternative dispute resolution, achieving favorable settlements for his clients without need of litigation.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Rocky practiced litigation defense, representing employers in defense of claims brought under federal law by civilians working under contract with the United States government in war zones overseas. While earning a certification in international law, Rocky worked with the Documentation Center of Cambodia in the prosecution of war crimes. He developed an Advisory Report on Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct to be adopted by the United Nations–established Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia in the prosecution of former members of the Khmer Rouge for war crimes in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
