Ryan M. Duffy Associate




Ryan Duffy handles a broad range of civil matters, including general liability litigation, medical malpractice, professional liability and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Ryan successfully managed a diverse litigation portfolio as an Associate County Attorney for the Prince George’s County Attorney’s Office. During his time, Ryan routinely appeared in the district and circuit courts of Maryland and the U.S. District Court. Ryan also drafted numerous appellate briefs and conducted oral arguments before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. His frequent trial appearances and extensive experience conducting depositions, motions arguments, mediations and appeals helped him become a knowledgeable, skilled litigator.

During law school, Ryan served as a law clerk in the Judiciary Committee Office of U.S. Senator Benjamin Cardin, where he gained invaluable experience working on Capitol Hill, and focused mainly on judicial and executive nominations and homeland security issues. Additionally, Ryan obtained criminal prosecution experience while serving as a litigation law clerk within the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office.
