Samuel A. Shusterhoff Associate




Samuel Shusterhoff works with the more than 70 transportation attorneys in the firm’s national practice group representing public and private railroads, aviation companies, bus lines, fleet carriers, freight forwarders and brokers, shippers, and taxi and limousine companies. In addition, Sam represents clients in all aspects of the real estate industry, including residential, commercial, building development and investing. His experience includes handling complex residential and commercial real estate transactions, leasing, real estate finance, title insurance and land use. 

Sam also serves as counsel for defendants in product liability and toxic tort litigation, including asbestos litigation, in state courts throughout New York and in federal courts. He has handled toxic tort and product liability cases emanating from exposure to numerous products, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and environmental sources occurring in the home and on the job. 

Sam rejoined Wilson Elser in 2018 from his position as an associate at a general practice law firm in Connecticut, focusing on commercial and residential real estate, including acquisitions and sales, office and shopping center leasing, real estate finance & commercial leasing in addition to general liability matters. He also has experience practicing corporate law, criminal defense and other litigation matters. Sam has a strong interest in pro bono work and volunteers at a meal facility for the homeless.
