Sarah M. Davis Of Counsel




Sarah Davis practices in the firm’s Austin, Beaumont and Houston offices in the areas of personal injury defense, insurance coverage & claims handling, premises liability and toxic torts. Sarah has tried several high-profile personal injury cases in Brazoria, Galveston, Harris, Jefferson, Smith and Travis counties. She has solid experience in insurance coverage, mass tort and disaster-related claims handling and litigation. Sarah also is an accomplished mediator, having received formal mediator training and mediated dozens of disputed legal matters for litigants throughout Southeast Texas. 

Sarah’s clients have included international and domestic Engineering, Design and Construction companies, product manufacturers, premises owners, transportation companies, and domestic and international insurers. 

Sarah, a native of West Virginia whose grandfathers were both coal miners, moved to Texas while in grade school. She served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2011‒2021 representing the western portion of central Houston, including Bellaire, Braeswood Place, Meyerland, Rice Military, River Oaks, Southside Place, Timbergrove and West University Place. In the Texas House, Sarah served as Chair of the Governmental Investigations and Ethics Committee and Chair of Article II of the Appropriations Committee. She was named a “Top Ten Legislator” in Texas Monthly Magazine. Outside of the legislature, Sarah serves on various civic boards, and is an Aspen Institute Rodel Public Leadership Fellow. 

Sarah debated in high school in Sugar Land, Texas, and at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she received her undergraduate degree in Economics. Sarah graduated from the University of Houston School of Law.
