Shanice Naidu-Jimenez Associate




Shanice Naidu-Jimenez represents clients in all aspects of civil defense litigation with a focus on construction, premises liability and automobile matters. She has obtained jury verdicts for defendants in premises liability cases, and succeeded in motions, one of which was recently affirmed by the New York Appellate Division, First Department, seeking sanctions against defendants for late disclosures at time of trial.

Throughout her career, Shanice has acquired extensive experience with client and adversary depositions, court appearances, substantive motions, trial preparation and trials. Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Shanice was an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department where she analyzed the legal and factual issues of her cases and consulted with clients to develop comprehensive and effective defense strategies to resolve cases in the best interest of her clients.

During law school, Shanice gained diverse legal experience, such as serving as a judicial intern for the Honorable Faviola A. Soto of the New York State Court of Claims, a mediator with the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law’s Mediation Clinic, and legal intern with Nickelodeon in the Digital Media Business and Legal Affairs department.

Prior to law school, Shanice was a legal assistant with Spike TV, now known as Paramount Network, in the Business and Legal Affairs department; a college intern with Viacom in the corporate department; an investigator intern with the Juvenile Rights Practice of the Legal Aid Society; and an intern with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.
