Silviana Dumitrescu is an experienced attorney with a demonstrated history of exceptional analytical and organizational skills honed over nearly a decade working both sides of the civil litigation table. Having started her legal career as a plaintiffs’ attorney for a prominent California personal injury firm specializing in high-value catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters, Silviana brings unique insight to defending established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation.

Silviana’s practice focuses on the defense of claims related to general liability, automobile and carrier liability, premises liability and products liability. She is skilled in all aspects of civil litigation, including pre-litigation resolution, discovery, depositions, oral argument, law and motion, mediation and trial. Silviana works closely with her clients to develop a clear litigation plan, ascertain risk early on, and provide an accurate determination of potential exposure, which enables her clients to make informed decisions regarding whether to settle or litigate a claim.

In August 2018, Silviana helped obtain a $50,000 verdict in an admitted liability premises liability matter venued in Long Beach, California, wherein a restaurant patron sought $6.5 million at trial for injuries he sustained from a ceiling fan striking him on the head. As the second chair, Silviana accurately projected the likely verdict and obtained litigation costs from the plaintiff for failing to accept the defendants’ last pre-trial statutory offer of $54,000.

During law school, Silviana served as a law clerk in the Los Angeles, CA, District Attorney’s Office, and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew, United States District Court, Central District of California, Los Angeles, CA. She was First Place Writer in the Southwestern Law School Intramural Moot Court Competition. Earlier, she was a legislative intern in the Capitol Office of California State Senator Betty Karnette, Sacramento, CA.

Born in Romania, Silviana and her family were granted political asylum in 1984. She was raised in Los Angeles, California.
