Sonya Tamiry Associate



Sonya Tamiry practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, cannabis law, insurance defense, arbitration, employment law, and cybersecurity and data privacy. She is skilled in all aspects of litigation and is committed to achieving positive results for her clients.

In the context of cannabis matters, Sonya helps clients navigate the challenges associated with this fast-changing industry, assisting growers, distributors and vendors, as well as companies outside the industry who are affected by cannabis legalization.

Sonya also represents employers in the defense of a broad range of workplace-related claims, including breach of employment contract, discrimination and harassment, violations of disability and medical leave laws, wage-and-hour claims and workplace torts.

Sonya has international experience and has worked outside the United States. In law school, Sonya completed an internship at Wilmer Hale’s International Arbitration Practice Group in London, England, and an internship at Kirkland & Ellis’s Restructuring Group in Munich, Germany. Sonya holds a certificate in International and Comparative Law from Pepperdine University School of Law,and a certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
