Suleman Malik Associate




Suleman Malik concentrates his practice on defense litigation, primarily in areas involving complex tort and general casualty, construction and transportation. Suleman handles risk, crisis and claim management and is dedicated to defending the firm's clients at every stage of litigation.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Suleman gained experience in a wide range of practice areas. He has handled cases on behalf of individuals and corporations in various matters involving complex commercial and class action litigation, civil rights litigation, labor and employment, hospital and nursing home negligence, professional malpractice and asbestos litigation. While in law school, Suleman interned for the Honorable Robert J. Miller, Appellate Division, New York State Supreme Court, Second Department. Suleman published an article on an important FINRA matter, entitled "Where Do We Fight? A Way to Resolve the Conflict Between a Forum Selection Clause and FINRA Arbitration Rule 12200," 17 Cardozo J., Conflict Resolution 215 (2015). 

Suleman is an active member and former board member of the Muslim Bar Association of New York, National Association of Muslim Lawyers and Emory Alumni Association. His diverse personal and professional background gives him a unique perspective, which he uses to his advantage in defending the firm's clients in a diligent and efficient manner.
