Tara M. Corsello Associate




Tara Corsello specializes in the defense of claims arising from litigation in the areas of transportation and trucking, construction and premises liability. Through her vast experience with the largest insurer to the taxi and livery industry in New York State, she has developed a specialty in handling all claims related to motor vehicular accidents, including bodily injury, subrogation, P.I.P., motor vehicle and associated coverage claims. Tara’s trademark is the rapport she is able to establish with clients through her readily approachable and direct nature.

Tara has defended large community center organizations, including the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Greater New York, and the New York City Department of Transportation against claims involving issues of premises liability, negligent supervision and negligent retention, including minors in afterschool programs and cases involving security issues and assaults. Her work in these areas has earned her a reputation that his highly regarded in government circles. Tara donates a significant amount of pro bono time to worthwhile causes that often involve, among other things, assisting the elderly with life-planning issues.

While in law school, Tara interned with the State of Rhode Island Attorney General's Office, the Committee of Public Counsel of Massachusetts, the Public Defender's Office and various legal aid societies in southeastern Massachusetts. She gained significant government experience as an intern with the New York State Assembly, the New York County District Attorney’s Office in the witness aid unit and U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer.
