Tawana Johnson focuses her practice on defending insureds and companies in all phases of litigation, including commercial disputes, contract litigation, medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability, personal injury claims, professional liability, construction litigation, employment litigation and appeals. She has extensive experience handling all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts, appellate litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to attending law school, Tawana worked in the pharmaceuticals industry in research and development, regulatory affairs, drug safety and medical device product support. During law school, she served an externship with the U.S. Department of Labor, a summer internship with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and an internship in the Governor’s Intern Program.

Represented creditor clients in obtaining and collecting on judgments in matters involving contracts, suits on promissory notes and guarantees, and other creditors’ rights matters.

Defended financial institutions in contract disputes and consumer protection matters.

Defended hospitals and medical providers in medical malpractice disputes.

Represented manufacturers in product liability matters involving catastrophic injury and property damage.

Represented employers in defending employment discrimination claims and other employment disputes.
