Tracy Freeman Partner




Tracy Freeman practices in the area of general liability and represents companies and individuals in civil lawsuits involving allegations of catastrophic personal injury and property damages. He has more than 20 years of experience handling cases in state and federal court. Tracy also has broad experience in commercial litigation, maritime and energy, transportation, insurance coverage and bad faith and toxic tort. 

Tracy has defended a major petrochemical, oil exploration and forged products company (and its successors) in lawsuits alleging gross negligence and wrongful death. He has defended a large ready mix company and its stabilized materials division in lawsuits ranging from moderate property damage to fatality accidents and typically involving the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. He has defended a nationwide retail company in suits alleging premises liability, false imprisonment, and excessive force. Tracy also has handled non-subscriber litigation for various organizations, including trucking companies and property owners. 

Tracy also represented vessel interests in Jones Act cases and platform owners in cases implicating the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. 

Prior to practicing law, Tracy was a sports journalist and won an Associated Press award for headline writing.

Representative Matters

Obtained summary judgment for auto repair shop on all claims brought by a minor child injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash in south Texas. Court entered a final take-nothing judgment in favor of the client.
