Virginia T. Tomova Associate



Virginia Tomova has significant litigation and trial experience in state and federal courts in Nevada involving the defense of clients in complex litigation, premises liability and catastrophic injury matters. Virginia also has considerable experience with arbitrations, mediations and settlement conferences, during which she has achieved successful outcomes for clients in various civil litigation matters. Virginia has prevailed in more than 100 arbitrations and achieved great results for clients during mediations, settlement conferences and trials.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Virginia practiced at regional law firms based out of Orange County, California, and Denver, Colorado, where she vigorously defended small and large companies and individuals across the nation in complex commercial litigation and insurance defense matters. She also has handled complex litigation in the area of medical malpractice involving claimants with traumatic brain and spinal injuries. Virginia has experience handling other civil litigation matters, including contract law.

Prior to entering the private practice of law, Virginia completed internships in the Utah Court of Appeals and Federal District Court, District of Utah, as well as a clerkship with the District Attorney Office in Salt Lake City, where she was the head law clerk for the felony division. Prior to pursuing her legal education, Virginia was the Airport Operations Officer for Salt Lake City International Airport, where she dealt with various airlines operations, vendors and security. During her employment at the airport, she completed the fire fighter and first aid response training on how to handle aircraft emergencies.

Virginia was the designated official interpreter for the Bulgarian Olympic Committee during the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
