Wesley A. Wong Associate




Wesley Wong is a litigator who focuses his practice on general liability matters. He has experience defending insurers and their insureds in construction defect, breach of contract, financial elder abuse, product liability, professional malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, negligence and real estate claims. Notably, Wesley represented the general contractor of a luxury multifamily development in Marin County, California, in a $100 million construction defect dispute with the developer and certain specialty subcontractors. Most recently, Wesley was a member of the trial team that represented a public transit agency and obtained a complete defense verdict in a $75 million breach of contract and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing case.

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Wesley worked in a variety of roles in business, law and regulatory compliance. Wesley began his career as a litigator at a mid-sized construction law firm in San Francisco, California, and gained significant experience in regulatory compliance while working for several multinational financial services institutions. From 2016 to 2017, Wesley served as a board member for the Risk Management Association, Golden Gate Chapter. 

During law school, Wesley was a judicial extern to the Honorable Cynthia Ming-mei Lee in the San Francisco Superior Court's Presiding Judge's Department and Appellate Division, and served as legal research assistant to Professor Edith Ho at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Wesley also participated in the American Bar Association's Law Student Tax Challenge (Tax Moot Court) and assisted small investors in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations as a member of the Investor Justice Clinic. Wesley was a member of his school’s Law Review and earned the Business Law Certificate upon graduating from law school.
