Ben Hands represents insurance companies and insureds in a broad range of civil litigation matters, with a focus on insurance defense, toxic torts, and product liability. He approaches each matter with a detail-oriented, analytical mindset, drawing on experience gained in the New Jersey courts and government legal offices.
Before joining Wilson Elser, Ben served as judicial clerk with the Honorable Kelly A. Waters, J.S.C., of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Union Vicinage. In that role, he gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making, motion practice, mediation, and the New Jersey court system while working on a variety of civil and family law matters.
During law school, Ben was an active member of the Regent University Law Review, serving on the Articles Committee and chairing a committee responsible for updating the journal’s onboarding and internal standards. He also participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition as a brief writer.
