Brad R. Schlesinger focuses his practice on transportation/logistics and premises liability defense. Drawing on extensive courtroom and litigation experience, he counsels national businesses through all phases of disputes, helping them manage risk, control exposure, and achieve favorable outcomes.

Before joining Wilson Elser, Brad practiced at a regional Seattle-based firm, where he represented major national and regional transportation/logistics and retail/hospitality industry clients in a wide variety of matters, including wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury litigation.

Before transitioning to civil practice, Brad spent more than nine years as a trial and appellate public defense attorney, developing substantial experience in pre-trial motion practice, trial advocacy, and appellate litigation.

Areas of Focus

Trucking & Transportation
Brad has defended trucking companies in matters ranging from catastrophic injury claims to wrongful death actions, with alleged damages routinely reaching seven and eight figures. He also has represented trucking companies in safety audits conducted by the Department of Transportation and state law enforcement agencies, guiding clients through extensive document production and the development of corrective responses to safety and training policies, routinely obtaining satisfactory safety ratings and minimal to no monetary penalties. In addition, Brad provides emergency response services to trucking companies following catastrophic events, including mobilizing experts and independent claim adjusters, conducting initial investigation and fact-finding, and assisting clients in managing the immediate response to claims.

Premises Liability
Brad has represented Fortune 500 companies and regional corporate retail/hospitality businesses in premises liability matters, successfully resolving personal injury claims through tenders of defense, summary judgement rulings, and voluntary dismissals.
