Cyber Tuesdays: Wilson Elser Forum Webinar

Virtual

People: David M. Ross and Brian H. Myers

David Ross (Partner-Washington, DC) and Brian Myers (Of Counsel-Washington, DC) will present a webinar on “U.S. Data Privacy Litigation” on January 28, 2025, another in the firm’s Cyber Tuesdays: Wilson Elser Forum webinar series. This webinar provides a baseline for those not immersed in developments in U.S. data privacy litigation, which has vastly changed in recent years. David and Brian will summarize major types of U.S. data privacy litigation filed with increasing frequency and the foundation for these types of cases. They will cover data security (data breach), AdTech wiretap (cookies, meta pixel, and session reply), and VPPA and BIPA class actions. Attendees will secure a basic understanding of how these cases often proceed and highlight key issues to address, including early case resolution or case narrowing and other considerations, with a focus on defense and settlement strategies that should be considered depending on the circumstances of the case.
